Fundraising events in Yorkshire
Jennyruth Workshops organise a variety of fundraising events in Yorkshire throughout the year and we would love to see you there. Our past events have been lots of fun and enjoyed by all. What's more, as we are not yet self supporting we still need to raise funds so we really appreciate you coming along. We are also very thankful for any prizes you can donate for our events.

| 21st June 2008 | A Midsummer Nights Dream | We will again be holding our Real Barn Dance, in the Barn at Grange Farm Bridge Hewick. There will be a substantial BBQ included in the price of the ticket but sorry the drinks are on you from our fully licensed bar! Dancing to our live Ceilidh Band with caller. Great fun, easy parking and lots of good company. What better way to celebrate Midsummers day. | 24th July 2008 | Lindsay's Quiz Night | Last years quiz was a fun evening held in the workshops. You all said you wanted to repeat it so here it is - in the workshops at Red House Farm. Come with teams of six if you want to be in a group or we will arrange teams of six when you arrive. Many of our learning disabled colleagues will take part, and don't be fooled they have vast knowledge in some subjects.!! Tickets £5 to include a light summer supper ( I think someone mentioned strawberries). If it is a balmy sunny evening we may sit outside for part of the quiz, our surroundings are beautiful open country. | Sanctuary Way Walk
| We have held our sponsored Sanctuary Way Walk in the last two years at about this time. We will be walking again this year but not with the hope of raising lots of money from sponsors. We think that we have asked for sponsors quite a lot recently. However we think that the walk is worth doing just for the pure fun of being together. It will be arranged to be very similar to the last two years, walking approx.10miles, 4miles and 1miles. All walks will end in Sharrow at the house of one of our volunteers, Annie Wentworth, who will have prepared some meals (a curry, that kind of thing)We can't afford to provide this free but it will not cost an arm and a leg! and you don't need to have a meal to go on the walk. We will need to know numbers for both the walk and the meal. Get in touch with us and we will send details a little later. |
Car Boot Sales
We have a large collection of second hand books, videos CD's and DVD's . We intend to go to several car boot sales this summer to sell them. Are you able to help us? There are two ways in which you can help. If you have unwanted items which we can sell we would be very pleased to receive them they don't have to be books anything saleable will be gratefully accepted. The other way in which we need help is in staffing these events. If we could have a small team of people it would then not be too much of a chore to anyone. Please get in touch if you can help in either of these ways.
Fundraising Team
We have now formed a small fundraising committee. Our next meeting is in the workshops at 9am on Tuesday 22nd April and then at about monthly intervals. If there are other people who would like to join us we would be delighted to welcome you. Just telephone or email the workshops beforehand to let us know that you are coming. No qualifications needed but if you have some experience to share that would be great...we are all amateurs!
